We're not going to agree on this one, so I am not sure why I am bothering but I totally disagree with you! Star Driver was Ok, but it was just Aquarion mark 2 and not as good. Not to say I hated it or anything - I quite like it! But I like it *because* it's like Aquarion. It kinda doesn't exist in it's own right in that way for me. I feel Aquarion carved it's own little niche in mecha, with it's melodramaic approach to all the cliches of the drama and it's attempt at a unique mythology, patchworked together from all over to make something of it's own.
