There are WAY too many characters (made me feel like I was watching Phonebook: The Series), half of them are idiots, half of them are bastards, and those few that were okay were killed off anyway. The story is all over the place, it doesn't focus on anything and nothing all that interesting ever happens, which made watching it not only boring, but positively painful. By the half point of the first episode (and until the end of the season) I was playing Solitaire and only watching with one eye, otherwise it would be completely unbearable. And stuff like the 800 feet wall really being only about 80 feet tall, seasons lasting years (and a varying number of them, if memory serves) and gold melting faster than ice only add insult to injury.
