--I can find a moment to talk about the adventure of the recent LuccaComics&Games only now XD

Under the cut for Usamaru Furuya, JoJo and cosplay pics! )

--And now I'm off to catch all the anime episodes that I left behind-- AAARGH D'x !
daeva_neesan: (Default)
Ok, I've been so busy in these past days that I don't even-- I post this now, so late it's almost a crime, but it's a matter of now or never!

So, on Sunday 6, I attended my second day of Romics, the one dedicated to my friends meeting and cosplay.
--From the pic above you can tell why I hate Sundays...

And, well, this is all :Q
...See you again on October XD
daeva_neesan: ((ノゝ∀・)~キラ☆)
I got quite busy in these days because of Ludica and my cosplay for the event (look forward to a proper report in the next hours), so I skipped on my otaku duties... But here I am, for my monthly discussion of the Italian releases on the manga that I buy <3

This month I bought a lot of back issues. The most relevant purchase is the first numbers of Bakuon Retto ("Detonation Island" in Italy), published and completed since forever but that I got to know only recently because of friends.
A back issue is also the first volume of TIGER & BUNNY comic anthologies.
Then it's Jojolion (it's finally becoming a monthly release? Oh, my!) and the last volume (THANK GOD T_T !!) of Mugen no Juunin ("L'Immortale" in Italy, "The Blade of the Immortal" in the USA).

Under the cut for bratty delinquents, immortal samurai with no jobs, underappreciated heroes and lots of random gayness. )

And that's all for this month ^0^//
daeva_neesan: (ガンオタの女)
Let's return to the good ol' traditions, here's the monthly chat about my paper-ish purchases on the manga world :3

Yesterday I went to my comic-shop and bought these thingies.
As Jojolion #2 was waiting me there since for ever, both Sidooh #21 and the Gundam -THE ORIGINS- databook #2 were just freshly delivered.

Under the cut for my unfiltered thoughts on sailors with beautiful hands, pretty Tokugawa samurai and dictators of good will! )

And that's all from the manga department for today!
See you again next month, 'cause the last volume of Mugen no Juunin will be released, FINALLY!

--Also if it's not really a report on the convention, since I could attend only one day and it was A FUCKING SUNDAY.

--Why do I hate to go on conventions on Sunday? Simple:
- The place is completely CROWDED, since it's a festive day.
- It's the last day of the convention, so the most of the cool stuff was sold already.

This year I didn't have much to buy, I just wanted to get a few comics at a discounted price... Well, NO. The place was so packed with people that I could barely look at the shelves, so for the first time in my life, I got back from Romics WITH MY HANDS EMPTY ;_;
Next year I'll have to attend at least two days, no matter what. And one MUST BE a thursday.

Anyway, the main reason for my attending on sunday was because of the JoJo cosplay group ♥
We JoJo fans got to meet on Deviantart, then Facebook, and we decided to create a huge JoJo group for sunday XD
It was really fun ^0^
Under the cut for your 'Gappy' Dae XD )
Of course more pictures were taken, expecially once the group was completed! Once the others will put their shots online I'll make sure to share ^_^

Shocking news were the fact that the Romics Cosplay Award, the cosplay contest held at the end of the convention was aired on TV ò_o
There was this huge and cool stage with lights and cameras everywhere... It sure was a stunning set, but the audience was a bit bothered by all filming tools in front of the stage covering the view, and the terrible TV format needs-- Like the pauses when extra clips were supposed to be on screen, or when we had to remake scenes 'cause the applause wasn't loud enough-- LOL.
Despite all the bother, though, I managed to watch the whole thing 'til the end, so to see who won the tickets for the Eurocosplay in London and the World Cosplay Summit in Nagoya, besides the other winners∼
All in all it's been fun also if unsatisfying XD

...And now I'm off to watch ALL THE ANIME that came out yesterday ;_;# Wish me luck, UGH.
daeva_neesan: (SO NOT AMUSED)
So, as you can tell from the pic above, today I went to Florence to check this exhibition of Araki's artworks-- )

--This said, I obviously took the chance to finally visit Florence (or at least its inner city!) :D
After the Araki's exhibition, I rushed to the Uffizi and Galleria dell'Accademia, making my trip definitely worth it :D
I obviously took lots of pictures that you can see here. Unfortunately it wasn't possible to take pictures in the museums, so I'll have to keep the impressions that "The Birth of Venus", "The Spring" and "David" gave me live to myself ;P !
daeva_neesan: (MOTIVATIONAL)
--Well, guys, you know. Better late than never!

Yes, sometimes I go to conventions for socializing purposes too.
In this period, as you should know by now, I'm pretty hyped by Hiroshi Takahashi's mangas, so time ago I joined this Italian forum about the subject and-- I found some new friends ;_;
Unfortunately everyone is gloriously scattered all over the country, so it's extra difficult to meet T_T For this edition of the Romics some of them managed to come, though! The pic above shows the only ones of us who were dressed in a WORST theme XD Another girl was featuring an Adventure Time cosplay (everyone recognized her and we kept on being the obscure morons, LOL), two other members were dressed normally (it's weird that I have to specify this...) and there was a Teap, too XD !

Convention's overview )
My cosplay: Fujishiro Takumi (WORST) )
My purchases )

My experience in a comic-maker's reality show X'D (everything was so embarassing I wanted to disappear) )

--And that's all :D
See you later to talk about anime! 'Cause your overly busy Dae here managed to catch up with all the anime that she wantd to check on during this season!
daeva_neesan: (MOTIVATIONAL)
--I wasn't supposed to attend this convention, but since a co-worker of mine bought some Catwoman costume and never managed to wear it properly, I suggested to go there and-- I had to go with her XD
So I dusted off my Scarecrow mask and offered her my arm!
I was quite wary about it, but I'm glad that I managed to buy some nice stuff and met some nice people :DDD I also had lots of fun with my co-worker and her boyfriend!
Now, let's get to the pictures and stuff! )

I have so many other reports to do (I visited quite a few exhibitions in Rome!), and manga to talk about (I finally bought All Rounder Meguru vol.8 and the first Gundam - The Origins databook---I mean guys, there's a WHOLE PAGE about Garma's hair and the hot oyaji from Zeon, I gotta share such things!!!) but I'm dealing with some family issues and I can find a minute to work on them ;_; I hope things will get better soon..!
daeva_neesan: (*sad*)
...First Kingdom and now Jojo (and it got so close in Uchuu Kyoudai that I DON'T EVEN--!) T_T; I mean, I knew about those deaths (I got to spoil Kingdom's while I was looking for Ouki's pictures T^T) already, I knew that they were going to be shown in the anime format too-- But I couldn't help but suffering anyway T_T;
Yet, at least they died honorable, badass deaths. We common people are just expected to fade out slowly, becoming senile and eventually passing out. Slowly and pitifully.
I'm quite sensitive about the subject in these days...

...So, at least, you know, a violent death while giving their best is probably better. If anything, this cheers myself up a little ._.

Episode 20 of 'Jojo' also reminded me about my evening at 'Jujo Bar', in Tokyo... )

"May you live eternally in my memories, Caesar.
A life as splendid and ephemeral as a soap bubble..."

daeva_neesan: (*abused*)

--Last time I complained about the lack of proper Italian in the subs, so in the next episode they threw random Italian words to make up for it XD !

I lolled at the word "Culo" used to translate the English "Ass"-- In Italian "Culo" refers to "Butt" only (in some dialectal cases it's used as "Fag", too), it doesn't share the same meaning as "Idiot" as in English :3-- Eeeeh, Google translations!
daeva_neesan: (Default)
KYA, finally Caesar made his appearance in Jojo's anime!
Aaah, he's lovely, LOVELY, such a lovely young man <3 !
Well, not really when he's in his "womanizing mode", but what about the scene when he "killed" Mark ;3; ..? And this is just the beginning!!! I can't wait for the next episodes >o< !!!
Also, also, the Pillar men are so smexy and gay, ahah XD Can't wait to see more of them <3 And Cars is SMEXY >o< !! I love their manly voices!

Also, I have a formal complain with the subbers!
1) "Senorita" instead of "Signorina". For fuck sake, stop mixing up Italian with Spanish ;_; ! They are different languages!!
2) "Mama Mia" instead of "Mamma Mia". I know that ABBA are way more popular than my language, but WTF? Even when the Japanese seiyuu made the best efforts to pronounce it properly D: !!

Setting aside awesome Jojo and delicious "black spaghetti", let me update you about my most recent manga passion:
Awesome Rokudenashi Blues
It's a very old series that I wanted to read since for ever, and I decided to take hold of the scans and give it a read in those days.
It's just ADORABLE ;_; Let's say that I love stories about delinquents by default, and the last one I read (Kongou Banchou) left me quite pissed off because the stupid way the author decided to end it, with all that stupid romance everywhere, so, I need something to refresh my hot-blooded spirit, you know?
Of course there's romance here too, after all it's something that you can't remove from the experiences of a healthy youth, but that's-- that's very cute, you know? It's not the kind of stupid romance that you read about nowadays, or in general shonen series.
Among all the female cast (which is anyway a bunch of stereotypes, by now we know how men think, LOL) my favourite girl is Mafuyu, the sukeban <3 I'm sorry that the author had to give her a tragic past, but I like how it gave her a realistic yet melanchonic personality... She looks so much mature than her schoolmates and I like how she's usually there to solve problems!
As for the boys, I have a strong sympathy for the protagonist Taison, because he's lot of fun, has a kind heart and he's from Osaka (LOL), but I think that the guy I like the most is Hatanaka, the boxer. I really hope to see him back in action soon ;_; !!! High School is such a short period in Japan, I can't stand the fact that he's going around for boxing and he's shown no more T_T; !!! --I WANT TO SEE MORE HATANAKA IN GAKURAN, DAMN!
daeva_neesan: ((ノゝ∀・)~キラ☆)
I posted an article about Cestvs for the Obscure Fandom section of my website, and the report of Jojo's Bar with TONES of pictures :D

Tomorrow I wanna write about the Zeon-themed bars of Nagoya, wish me luck XD
daeva_neesan: (*abused*)
I finished reading the third part of Jojo's Bizarre Adventures, "Stardust Crusaders".
It was really good :D I like everyone the same, but I must say that my favourite character was Polnareff:
I liked his personality, his stand and I love also the meaning of his tarot card∼!
He's not your classic bishounen (in fact he's a bit to draw, at least for me T_T;), but he really won my heart :D !

Speaking of football, if I saw another GLIMPSE of the Match of the Century on TV, I'm going to get SEIZURES!!!
Isn't it going to jinx the match?! Everyone keeps talking about Destiny and Eurobonds while I just want to disappear T_T; ARGH, SUCH ANXIETY T___T; --THIS DAMN SPORT IS GOING TO KILL ME T____T; !!!
I wish I were German for those puny 90 minutes, so I'd be sure to win and wouldn't face all THIS SUFFERIIIIIIING!

Also, a good number of Spring anime that I was following are already over :3 I'll make a post as soon as the last episode of Sakamichi no Moe Apollon is released and I manage to watch it, for a comprehensive discussion :D
daeva_neesan: ((ノゝ∀・)~キラ☆)

(Yes, I draw on yellow paper... Don't ask XD)

..Consider that I'm even procrastinating Kuroko's watching to draw this... I'm really in love∼♥
daeva_neesan: ((ノゝ∀・)~キラ☆)
OMG! It was about time for Beelzebub's new chapter to come out >o<
My main thought about this last chapter was:
--It's sketchier than usual 'cause I don't know about the colors, also if I'm expecting quite fair tones XD --But it gives you the idea of my WTF over this last "villain" introduced in the series.

Also, as I told you here and there I'm trying to read (it's actually a MARATHON, not a reading XD) JoJo's Bizarre Adventures... By now I'm reading part III and-- It's getting kinda creepy T_T
Anyway, since I'm caught by sudden flashes of fangirling but I can't manage to draw anything because I'm reading it quite quickly, and I have no time for it-- Well, my bunnies are piling up.
So this evening I decided to make a portrait of one of my favourite characters from Part II, Caesar Antonio Zeppeli: he's pretty and he's Italian, of course I'd love him XD
Next I'd like to draw a Jonathan/Dio of sort, a proper Dio's portrayal and Jotaro/Noriaki ;3; ..!
Aah, stupid bunnies, jumping everywhere T_T; ...
I tried to use vivid and acid colours to match up the style of the author but-- I think I sucked at it XD
...Mhh, it's already this late and I'm still in the middle of colouring it-- Ugh.

Also, on a side note, while I was checking Mutsumix's blog to see her reactions to the last Naruto chapter, I found her report of the Memories of Chackra event in LAGUNASIA.
She went there with other ItaSasu fans-- I can recognize at least 'Jack in the Box' from the sketches they left here and there--
