You seemed to imply that by caring about the representation of women in media and by talking about fictional female characters in terms of feminism, it meant people didn't care about larger issues.

These people could be out there actively doing things for these bigger issues and you wouldn't know. I still talk about things like that on LJ and I've done things for women's rights (attended marches, raised money, raised awareness). /shrug
