The Road to YAYCon 2012--

*crossposting this from DevArt & Y!Gal since everybody is ignoring me there T_T;*

Yes, I'm determined to attend YAYCon next year è_é/ I got the days off from work, I got enough money to spend two (and half!) days in the Netherlands, and I have stuff ready (all in my mind for now, ahah XD) to relish my stand with è_é
So, yeah, I can't still say that I'm going there 100%, but I'm pretty much positive at 99%.

--I hope that any of you will attend too ;_; I would love to meet someone from the internet in 3D and have a chat, yanno T_T ?
Also, Italian tripmates are always welcome !

So, I was wondering, besides the doujinshi (bringing new SasuIta doujinshi and the last copies left of the Archer/Kimbly's), what else would you like to get..? Pins, postcards, posters-- Original or Fanarts..? Suggestions on the series..?
Let me know, I'm willing to meet your expectations there :3 !

Oh god. I feel a bit shitty for this but: I went to yay con last year and it was the tiniest, crappiest thing ever. It was tiny, amateurish, tiny, childish, and also tiny. I only had to travel about an hour to get there and regretted it.

The only yaoi-ish thing about it was a cardboard box of random doujin. For the rest it was just a really crappy con. The average age of the attendants was 13.

There were a couple of Dutch, gay, comic book artists who don't have anything to do with manga, and they had no idea what was going on. (Since when is yaoi FOR gay men?)

Well, I saw pics and videos on internet and I had ther impression that it was quite tiny and amauterish too, but, you know, it's the only chance that I have right now for some fangirl bonding and to sell asome stuff ;__;
--it didn't seem very childish, though, as I saw a few circles in the dealers room that looked quite cool D: ...--Besides, me and the friend who'll come with me will profit of the trip to go for a touristic tour in Amsterdam, too ;o; !!
So, I hope that the version of 2012 will be better than the one that you attended ;_; --!

Yeah, i'm sure they have learned from their mistakes in the past years :) And if it's part of a bigger trip it will be different anyway, because then it's all foreign and exotic!

Ah,ah, exactly XD I'll focus on the "exotic" things and let's hope that the weather will be nice ;3; !!!

It looks awesome! I like the flowery homepage. :3

I suppose I'll be there in spirit as I'm hoping I'll be attending my favorite California convention (Fanime) in May. >>

But I do hope you can attend!
