Something like a manga schedule...

Here I aaaam!

Since the new year is always an excuse for resolutions, I decided that it's time for me to sit down and start to plan out things, in the remote possibility that I'd focus my creativity properly for once... But also as a chance for some kind of "road map" of 2014!
As you can see, this year I wanna focus on original projects, most of them deriving from my webcomics.

① TRA I FIORI 'Capitolo di Viterbo'
I profitted of my last trip to Viterbo to gain material for this little project of mine.
It's going to be a short, porny spin-off of Tra i Fiori, that will have Flavio as protagonist and the new character Numilio as his 'fairy' partner.
To be honest I wanted to use Andrea for another spin-off set in Agrigento also, but since I decided that I'm not going to talk about places that I didn't visit, I'll probably get that on hold 'til the day that I'll manage to visit the Sicilian city during its Festival of Almond trees in flower
I was thinking of releasing this around February (since it's set in Winter), but I'm still wondering on the "how".
I'm probably going to release it like I did with The Bride of the Shark's 'Prologue', as a webcomic's extra, but I'm also tempted to sell it online as a digital download >3
The big issue with such a short release is that I'd prefer for Tra i Fiori to be over before-- Also if the story is conceived to work perfectly as a stand alone... We'll see!

② 花の香は撞く ('Hana no Ka wa tsugu' = 'The flowers' fragrance ringing')
This is a sort of epilogue to Sakura mishouzo, my "gekiga" about Ranmaru and Nobunaga.
In this special, short sequel, I wanna talk about Mitsubachi and Nobutada and how they are doing after the ninja took service after Nobunaga's heir.
The story is set a few weeks before the Honnoji's incident.
--I'm still debating with myself if giving Mitsubachi (whose new name is "Hachida Mitsuhiko" 蜂田 蜜彦 now) a samurai hair-cut or now... With one he'd look like this:
Uhm... *is tempted*
I'm probably going to release it as a webcomic, with the possibility to print it.
The comic is set during summer, but I'd like to (start) its release around late March/April

③? 大うつけ殿 ('Outsuke-dono' = 'Lord Fool')
This is part of a project with my friend Babi, but mostly an homage to the figure of young Oda Nobunaga :3
This took a lot of research on my part, and it's going to be a little, hopefully poignant, portrait of young Nobunaga from the eyes of one of his first retainers and page, Maeda Toshiie.
I noticed that many ignored poor Toshiie, so I decided to give him some justice with this short comic :3
This one is going to be printed only.
I'm not sure about its release (thus the "?"), 'cause much will depend on Babi's projects and business, but I hope to have it done for May.

④ La Belle Époque
This started as an idea for a Archer/Kimbly doujinshi, but since it was AU and the title was in French (a link to my previous "Ancien Regime" doujinshi) I said, DAMN, I'm going to make it an original XD And here you have my two French soldiers doing naughty things with a corset XD
I'm still planning it out, it's a simple, short story that I'd like to sell, so it's going to be on digital download format, with the possibility to print it... Since I have no rush for this, I was thinking to release it around November...

And this is all for now :3
There are other projects and ideas that are still floating in my mind, see the never aborted projects on Tamara de Lempicka and Dorian Gray, or those Nazis whose story I'll have to tell someday, and what about that Sci-Fi thing which only thing defined was its title..? Well, for now I'd like to focus on the titles that really revamp my inspiration :3

...Anyway, I'll keep you updated XD

I've had three phones - the first two hand-me-downs from my mother, the third one I bought used. I also have a brand new business phone, bills covered by my employer. XD

Nah, there's only one game I play on that phone, and not very often. As for music, I do have 12 David Bowie albums on a memory card, but I don't really like listening to music on a phone much. But I do listen to audiobooks quite regularly, nearly every day when I go to bed - I'm half way through The Case-Book of Sherlock Holmes and after that I think I'll listen to some Dickens. *feels smug* XD

[personal profile] m3n747 2014-01-16 08:33 am (UTC)(link)
Why, thank you! XD

At first I didn't care about audiobooks, but eventually I grew quite fond of them - I just had to find out what my ideal listening conditions are, and that's lying in bed, with no distractions to pull my attention away.

Actually, there are quite a few - at least in English - if you know where to look. There's the Audiobok Bay and regular torrent sites for newer stuff, and LibriVox for older, public domain publications. LV also has some books in other languages, including Italian and Polish, but of course the vast majority are in English.

Still, it's a good opportunity to brush up on the language - I wholeheartedly recommend the Harry Potter series narrated by Stephen Fry and the Sherlock Holmes collection read by John Telfer, they are absolutely fantastic to listen to.

Yup, it's from Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, when they first meet Hermione on the train. Those quick fragments are her talking. :D

Stephen Fry narrates really clearly, not once throughout all seven books did I have any trouble understanding anything. Therefore, I'm forced to conclude that your hearing sucks. XD But what if you listen to that sample while reading the enclosed text at the same time?
