I must tell you that I'm not very shocked about it.
After "Angel Days" and "Shinji Ikari Rising Project" or the actual developments in the manga, I'm pretty happy with this movie XD
Yep, I guess they Japanized Asuka 'cause they made Mari, who's an half-americal chick. A friend of mine summarized it as "Anno used all the stupid fanfictions plots and the fans complainings in the movie to show that THEY SUCKED." The part with Gendo and Fuyutsuki on the moon retrieving the Longinus Spear makes sense-- Rei threw it over there and they just went to retrieve it in the more logical way XD
Yes, you told me, but it's not better, it's just DIFFERENT XD Just try to imagine Gendo as an underworld boss. Don Vito wouldn't be amused D:
