My friend, let me hug you. Same here. Also if it as cool, I truly hated the whole EoE concept. To me, the only source of canon is the anime series of 1995. Fullstop. We were hoping for an alternative ending for the manga too, but it was quite clear that Sadamoto was up to confirm Anno's original vision.
Yeah, we're pretty scared about what could happen in the last movies too XD
