I'm tired, demotivated, and kinda inspirationless. I feel like also my artistic skills are reacting to this ;_; Can I blame it on the weather? Rainy weather rarely depresses me, but I really feel the need to get some sun ;_; DAMN YOU, CURSED "CLOUD"!!! I'M A GIRL OF THE SOUTH, GIVE ME MY YEARLY QUOTA OF SUN!!!
Anyway, I decided to focus on my doujinshi projects for now.
The neglected son that I'm trying desperately to revive right now is the Ninja Bugeicho doujinshi.
I was supposed to release it on December 2009, then I scheduled it for May 14... Well, today is May 15 and I'm still inking page 6 >_>;
I'm probably so moody with this doujinshi 'cause I know that nobody cares about it, if not die-hard fans of Sanpei Shirato, who are the only ones who keep me motivated to finish it (and will probably receive it for free--) ;_;
Anyway, it's a 20 pages long story, very porny, with some "social considerations" concerning feudal Japan-- Kagemaru is a free spirit who places the dignity of the person and their freedom as the most important thing, Jutaro is a samurai dispossessed of his fief looking for revenge, who places his social status above everything... So Kagemaru really feels like bullying him XD
Jutaro is very tsundere XD And Kagemaru is that kind of playful seme who bullies his boy, but always gently!
This shot shows my interpretation of Jutaro's stump.
As far as I know, we never get to see any clear image of it in the manga (or in the movie, since that's what I watched ^_^; ), so I just thought of inspiring myself to Gennosuke's from Shigurui manga :3
I actually made a research on Google, but I mostly got pictures from recent amputations: it's pretty unprobable that an arm chopped during the Sengoku era would look as "clean" as modern's.
For the inking, I decided to pick the style that I used for Sakura Mishouzo... I wanted to give it a "gekiga" vibe, but I think that I'll also add some smoother parts with some screentoning...
Oh, well... I hope that I'll be done with this project within the next week ^_^;
As for other things, I also plan on working on other doujinshi projects.
Tomorrow I'll get no gym (but I'll be victim of a longer shift at work ;_;), so I'll work on my piccies all day; I'm going to draw and finish the illustrations for Black Jack Anthology (in the end I opted for a picture featuring the female cast of the manga in nurse outfits :D It's going to be fun to draw!) and Foolish People Anthology (this will probably come with a short MadaIta comiclet that I'll probably put in the anthology too--) and try to start drawing something for Ancien Régime too-- I'm planning a short comic featuring Archer/Kimbly stressful life together, only lightened up by cute and needy smexing, that will be expanded with smexy R18 scenes as another actual printed doujinshi for purchasing.
Still undecided about the title: My Alchemical Romance or My Weapon of Mass Destruction is just a big cat! >3> I was thinking of adding a pair of 4koma too on the kitty!Kimbly theme, so I'll probably pick the second option for the title XD
