A Christmas Meme :3

daeva_neesan*is a bit dead* Due to commissions and doujinshi duties this year I won't attend my usual Christmas meme consisting of art swapping-- So, to make up for it, have another kind of meme pertaining Christmas talk :D
So.
1. Wrapping paper or gift bags? I think that wrapping paper does the trick. It's just lovely to browse through it and wonder :D As a graphic-oriented person, sometimes the paper amuses me more than the gift itself XD
Also, I think that wrapping a present shows more care towards the receiver than gift bags.
2. Real tree or Artificial? Our tree has always been artificial, for what I remember :/ ! Since I live by the seaside there's no chance to let one grow in the garden and it just looks like a waste to cut a tree to keep it home for less than a month :/
I know that many countries made a tradition of cutting trees and such, but in my opinion it's kinda weird. --THIS IS THE OPINION OF SOMEONE WHO LIVES BY A BEACH XD
3. When do you put up the tree? In Italy it's tree time on 8 December.
This year we didn't put one up, though. My father decided to give his time to the Navity Scene, instead. --He's still working on it, by the way, and the living-room is a mess XD
4. When do you take the tree down? Well, after the second week of January... Once one spent so much time on it it's a waste to take it down too soon XD
5. Do you like eggnog? I love eggnog, but I practically never had it again after some cases of food poisoning Salmonella around here XD It's not even such a dangerous disease but somehow we got quite shocked about it, so raw eggs and raw seafood are kinda off-limits in my house ^_^;
6. Favorite gift received as a child? Mhhh, definitely this Barbie house, one of the coolest things ever in my whole life *_* I remember that when I got older (around 16 or so) my younger cousin asked me to give it to her but I refused and I let it rot in my garage. LOL, I'm a horrible person XD but it just shows how much I wished for it when I was a kid!
Another cool present was She-ra's castle--Ugh, I loved the Princess of Power franchise!!! The characters were just SOO COOL!! My favourite was Catra..! *talks for hours*
7. Hardest person to buy for? I don't buy presents for Christmas. Yes, it's my policy.
8. Easiest person to buy for? That's me XD
9. Do you have a nativity scene? Of course :3
10. Mail or email Christmas cards? Uh-- Usually we attach the cards to the presents XD Anyway they are righteously hand-given.
11. Worst Christmas gift you ever received? Oh. My cousin presented me the statue of a black demon once =_=; It was one of those grotesque/gothic things that I just can't stand unless on artworks and a gift that just made no sense on Christmas!
12. Favorite Christmas Movie? I don't love Christmas movies... Maybe "A Nightmare Before Christmas"..? But I'm being a smartass here XDD
13. When do you start shopping for Christmas? I don't shop for Christmas.
14. Have you ever recycled a Christmas present? Yup, my parents did with some old presents of mine XD I remember that I got one of those "mini ovens" to cook stuff as a game... I didn't even dare to open it. It was presented to the younger cousin above mentioned who totally loved it-- But for some reason her brother (the cousin above mentioned) was the one who played with it all ay long ò_o Well, it was nice to eat all kind of mini-toasts after dinner x'D
15. Favorite thing to eat at Christmas? My granma's cannelloni ^_^; I really look forward to them!
16. Lights on the tree? When we do it they are white and make a cool "fading out" effect instead of the classic seizure-inducing blinking :D
17. Favorite Christmas song? Tu scendi dalle Stelle ^_^
18. Travel at Christmas or stay home? Christmas is a holiday that must be spend at home or at relatives'!
In Italy there's a saying, "Spend Christmas with your family, spend Easter with whoever you want", and usually people stick to it :3
19. Can you name all of Santa’s reindeer? ...What XD ? They have actual names..?
20. Angel on the tree-top or a star? We have one of those spikey-thing ...
21. Open the presents Christmas Eve or morning? Morning :3
22. Most annoying thing about this time of the year? The people who bash Christmas. Expecially those smartassey atheists idiots who kept calling it Yuletide or such. Go in your fucking forest and burn your fucking tree there, instead of bothering me Dx
23. Favorite ornament theme or color? I like red decoration with golden details :D --I'm quite fond of holly!
24. Favorite food for Christmas dinner? ..Isn't this the same as question #15 XD ..?
25. What do you want for Christmas this year? Well, once the holiday season is over (and the international shipping is safe!) I'm totally getting this t-shirt x3 !
