Probably you don't know, but I'm currently living without any Winamp and MP3 file on my PC.
I listen to music by selecting videos over Youtube.
..How pathetic is this T_T ?

Also, I must resist the urge to cut my hair short.
Today I was looking at some Sai's screenshots and I thought "Awwww, how cute he is, I wanna get his lovely haircut too--!"
I must dismiss such thoughts. I'm not as cute as Sai and the hairdresser is not going to be able to cut my hair like Sai's ;_;

Partially related to the first point, I'm writing a series of Madara-centric drabbles for character50... So, I selected some stuff from Youtube to get some musical inspiration.
I ended up headbanging at Manowar and didn't write anything pretty ;_;

I wanna change my icons theme but I'm undecided about the next protagonist.
What do you think, flist? Sai, Madara or Kamui?
I guess that I'll keep this journal ninja oriented.... STILL, I LOVE MY CHI ;_;

Wow, no MP3? How did that happen? oO Anyway, you can find some nice tunes on sky.fm - I recommend the Smooth Jazz station. ^^

It happened that my previous PC died and I didn't feel like re-installing everything since I abused of it too harshly... So now I have no Winamp, eMule or Bitorrent ^_^;;; I'm surviving with the stuff I can get and watch over Youtube and Veoh ._.

That's why you keep your files on a separate partition, or better yet - a separate hard drive. ;] And as for rescuing the system, that's what ghosts are for. ^^

You know, I felt so confident with eMule! Once I had the whim of listening to a song I just had to download it and listen to it over and over... My playlists were so awesome ;_;

I have quite a lot of my MP3s on CDs, but that's because my old PC had 300 MB of free space at most (well, I later added my friend's 4 GB HD) - so I had no choice but to burn everything I downloaded. ^^ Now I keep everything on my 320 GB HD and I'm slowly (but surely) sorting and renaming them, adding ID3 tags and Replay Gain and downloading covers. When I'm done, I'll burn it all to DVDs. Currently I've gone from A to Slayer. XD

I have a Creative Zen V 2GB - it's pretty good, easy and comfortable to use. The downside is that it requires you to install some crappy software to be able to copy the files and create playlists. Oh well...

Downloading videos - I used to use VDownloader which worked really well; you could download a video from youtube, google video and some other sites (including porn sites XD), convert it to AVI, MPEG and some other formats or just download audio only. However, after youtube went through some changes, VDownloader stopped working - I guess whatever caused it, was addressed in later versions of the program, but I never really bothered checking. There are also various plugins for Firefox (and probably other browsers) that allow you to download videos.

Now I just copy the streamed video from the browser's cache (in youtube's FLV format) and use CCCP for playback (the only drawback is that this method doesn't work with files over certain size - they are temporarily stored in the cache, but they disappear as soon as the whole video is streamed). But if you need an AVI, you'd better try those programs/plugins - unless you feel pr0 enough to use AviSynth + VirtualDub for reencoding/conversion. :D

However, if you'd like to give it a try, the Firefox cache should be here:
C:\Documents and Settings\[user name]\Local settings\Application data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\[random letters and numbers].default\Cache\

The files in cache have names like 22CC2AA8d01 or 06CF11A6d01 - you need to look at their size and creation time; Total Commander comes in handy.
