--Just a late evening post to brag about my last manga acquisitions...

There's not even much to brag, considering how many people on my f-list reads those XD
SHIGURUI #14 - FINALLY IT'S OUT. I'm also moved 'cause it looks like last volume will be released on May. I'm shocked. Just after one month? Probably the world will end on May, then :/
Anyway! In this volume Mie finally falls in love with Gennosuke and Gennosuke got to find a way to defeat Irako while in a coma due to a sudden attack of fever.
Irako saves a poor little girl and as he executed the bitches who laughed at the poor thing, we're still shown the basic paradox of Irako's wish: to become a samurai and to be recognized as one, despite his hate for samurai... Speaking of samurai, Tadanaga is plotting some riot against his bro Iemitsu to become the next shogun and asks Masamune Date to join him. TADANAGA IS NOT AMUSED BY THE REST OF THE VOLUME.
In this volume there's the bit about Irako bringing the carbonized head of the "honorable monkey" to Gennosuke as an ultimate medication for his sickness.
Why do you think he did? Was he mocking his arch-rival? Was he trying to look considerate to Mie or his high-ups? --That was Tadanaga's precious gift, after all! ..And the fact that Gennosuke "revived" to eat it so passionately looked so-- I don't know, everything looked SO EROTIC and SEXUAL D: ...
MUGEN NO JUUNIN #26 - It's always embarassing to read a new volume after so much time (almost a year..?), 'cause I realize that I already forgot the most of the characters names and faces XD
After Shira's death, A sleeping Renzo is left to Tanpopo and Meguro's care, as Manji and Rin resumed their search for Anotsu.
The volume is all about the "Six Demons" pursuing the members of Ittoryu. While Ryo and Ban got trapped by Kashin in the forest, Abayama has to deal with a group of unnamed guys first, and with the magical return of Gichii and Hyakurin next! --GO HYAKURIIIIN ;o; !!!
I'm really sorry but I love Habaki. I really hope that he'll manage to kill Anotsu, LOL XD *is cruel*
And, and--! Ahah, at the beginning of the volume Rin is wondering about what future awaits Renzo, and she's a bit sad because she thinks that Shira was a "proper person" for him to stay with, 'cause Shira was resolute and honest despite the abominable personality, LOL. Manji wtf'ed her, telling that if that's so, instead of Shira, the best person who had to take care of him was probably Araya. --BUT I LIKE HOW RIN THINKS, LOL.
DAISAN NO KAGEMUSHA #1 - Oooh, I was so surprised to see this one in Italian!!! This is another manga based on Norio Nanjo's novels!
It's the story of Kyonosuke, a kagemusha (actually, the "third" one, as the title says) of a passionate and rough samurai, the young Yasutaka, lord of Mitaya's castle.
Kyonosuke is trained to act and behave just like Yasutaka, and he's also trained to protect him.
All the kagemusha thinks that it's a pretty nice life, after all, but things change when Yasutaka is wounded on the battlefield and he loses his left eye-- Also his kagemusha are now expected to get the same wound!
One of them refuses and is killed as a traitor-- Kyonosuke and the other guy then, accept the wound as a "honor", since they get to feel the same pain as their lord, but the truth is far away from the pretty words.
Horribly disfigured, Kyonosuke wonders about how things will develop from now on-- A political marriage with Teru-hime, the daughter of one of Yasutaka's allies..?
What made me LOL (and blush) is the fact that Yasutaka's first appearance shows him in all his fiery manliness while practicing some archery. Archery was the favourite art practiced by Nobunaga, and we know what Norio thinks of him (let's just mention the fact that Tadanaga from "Shigurui" is often compared to Nobunaga, personality-wise)... It made me smile 'cause modern archery doesn't look like something for a brute, but a noble art destined to bishounen of the serious, composed kind..?
Also, I promised
m3n747 to show my brand new NERV t-shirt!

;D
