The weather is still a bit WTF over here, but at least I still managed to have fun XD
Two days ago my friend Babi came to visit from ~~the desolated lands of Padania~~ Northern Italy, and we enjoyed ourselves some pretty places in Rome∼

Our first visit was the Roseto Comunale, the rose garden.
It was a Sunday, so the place was crowded >_<; !

There was also some International contest, so one side of the garden was closed, but what we saw was just lovely ;3:

Yesterday we went on with our "botanical streak" and visited the Orto Botanico, the place that hosts the second Japanese garden in Rome.
I went there mostly for that, but I must admit that I found some places of interest! I was amazed by the forest of bamboos and the Mediterranean plants *_* I also loved all the trees and cool maples! I must definitely go there again on autumn!

Special mention for this tree:

Apparently it was an extinct species, then some specimen were found in Australia and they were spread across the Botanical Gardens of the world as a sign of goodwill-- I'm glad to see that "ours" is still alive and kicking (considering that some parts of the Orto are pretty much abandoned and neglected D:)!

To end this report some of my "culinary booty" of the days:

It's some Chinese snacks, a cute jar of ume jam from Babi and some fagottini (a kind of filled pasta) that I bought at Eataly while going back home by train ^o^
