It's been a while since I enjoyed some sushi, so yesterday I finally managed to go with some co-workers to a restaurant around here that a friend suggested to us...

...Unfortunately I remembered to take pictures only after me and my friends ate the most of the stuff XD Sorry, I was busy eating, LOL!
The sushi, maki and sashimi were very good and original!

One of my friend is a fan of philadelphia cheese-- So the most of maki were like that >_>; It was good, though! I liked it! We also had fried maki! I never tried something like that.. I guess that it would make a Japanese cry, but they were really good!

A friend ordered two servings of tempura... She had no idea of how huge they were, so we had to squeeze all of it in our mouth XD
It looked wonderful, but it wasn't very tasty... The most of it was fried crap, a thick cover to make the shrimps look bigger...

It was a filling dinner though!
I had a beer with it, and some litchi fruits to keep myself young and beautiful as a dessert...

...Even if not "strictly Japanese", I really enjoyed my meal here! I hope to have the chance to go there again, and try more sushi places with my friends ^_^ !

PS: I'm writing this the morning after and I'm still digesting ;_;

It's been a pretty long while since I had any sushi. ;_; That boxed stuff they sell in supermarkets doesn't count.

Sapporo beer! :D I had that once - tasted just like the basic Tyskie, at four times the price. XD

I remember that the one I had cost 13 PLN, which is about 3.10 EUR. In contrast, Tyskie is about 2.75 PLN, or 0.65 EUR. So yeah, I'm in no hurry to try it again. XD

I had Moretti once - like Sapporo, it was good but not exceptional; I like Peroni Nastro Azzurro much better. I think your friends are being snooty elitists! XD

My favourite beer is Franziskaner Hefe-Weissbier NaturtrĂ¼b, and wheat beers in general. There was a time when I only cared for the Redd's apple-flavoured beer, but those were my earliest days as an avid alcoholic. XD Nowadays I prefer more classical beers, although I don't mind the more fancy ones every now and then. And as for American beers, I've never had any, but I hear they pretty much amount to piss mixed with water. XD

Come to think of it, I too wouldn't mind going to Oktoberfest. Sadly, my finances are pretty much non-existent at the moment (as well as in the foreseeable future), but perhaps one day...?

I did drink a Warka Radler a month ago. It was pretty good, very lemony and refreshing, great for a hot day. However, there was the typical bitter taste you'd expect from a beer under the lemon flavour, which may not be to everyone's liking. Redd's doesn't have that bitterness, which is probably why I liked it those +12 years ago - it took me a while to realise it's supposed to be there. XD
