Sorry for the late delivery on my Winter Watch-list for this year, but I preferred to skip the formalities and jump to the pulp of the matter, talking when the first impressions of my picked anime are both fresh and mature at the same time!
Withouth further ado, here's the new animes that I added to my watchlist with the new season:

Winter Season has never been the peek of the year for its selection, but this year I was grateful that I could enjoy my yaoish classy stuff, sporty stuff and disturbing stuff so to keep my week excting XD
The favourite anime of the rooster seems to be the charming Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu, a delicate yet vigorous story about Japanese traditional storytelling (and you know that I love this Japanese stuff thrown at me carelessly) as background and the tragedy of a disrupted promise as its protagonist. I love all the characters and their sound characterization, and of course the timid BL vibes tingle my fujoshiness in all the right spots! It reminded me of the pieces of Ono Natsume-sensei, which is a must by default.
Another fun series that meets my tastes in a delightful way is the sporty Prince of Stride: Alternative, a series dedicated to "stride", a sort of a mix between a relay race and parkour.
The main characters and plot are the same of the most recent successful spokon with the addition of a cute yet not-invasive female character that for once is not relegated to the role of the manager.
I got to know that this series is based on an otome game so I'm a bit wary of it, but if it'll keep this exciting and dynamic pace I'm going to follow it gladly.
I'm a huge fan of the manga Gundam Thunderbolt, so when an anime version has been announced I was happy over the limits of reason! The fact that from an OVA series it turned into a puny ONA series left a bitter aftertaste in my mouth, but I was glad to see that despite the limited time (15 minutes of episode ;_;) both direction and artwork were top-notch.
I really love the mature and dramatic vibe of this series, is something that was missing the recent Gundam releases, and the mecha design are really fun and interesting, even if not very adherent to canon-- For ever grateful to Ohtagaki-sensei for freshing-up the Gundam franchise the right way.
Ajin is the series taking care of my gusto for disturbing stuff, following the genre of the kaijuu tradition, of which series like the wonderful "Kiseijuu" are one of the most recent and successful examples.
It also tickles and criticizes that "terror of the stranger" that is to typically Japanese but perfectly actual and fitting even our modern "civilized" cultures in recent times.
I just watched the first episode 'til now, but it looks promising.
Nijiiro Days is just there 'cause after all these intense emotions XD I need some lukewarm to rest in, some light slice of life stuff that I can watch without getting too much stress for the plot... It looked like a good addition, but I'm not really amused by all the romantic crap that it's going to be relished with-- Let's see how it'll develop, as it's a short series I'm not going to drop it anyway... For now the protagonist looks amusing enough!
Among the "excellent discharges", those rec series that I decided to not follow, the top title is definitely Dimension W, one of those condescending anime that seems compiled just to please a Western audience-- No wonder is simulcasted almost everywhere (even here!) on internet!
Going back to my list, the latest addition are the shorties Sushi Police and Yamishibai... As the latter is pretty much a traditional watch for me by now, but I'm waiting for further episodes to decide of its goosebumpin' quality, I admit that I'm watching the first only out of some kind of obscure masochism... I can't bear all that talk about how sushi is delicious and good for your health and it's the best food in the world, but-- I want to see what they are going to say to insult the sushi spree in Italy XD If they are honest they should bitch about all those "all-you-can-eat" Chinese shops, let's see if they'll do!
--For the sake of duty, I confess that I tried to watch Sekkou Boys too, and as much as I enjoyed the parody I still- couldn't--!
And that's all from your Dae!
--What about you guys :D ?

Date: 19/1/16 10:15 (UTC)I'm watching Akagami no Shirayuki-hime 2, because I watched the first one and I enjoyed it.
I'm watching Boku Dake ga Inai Machi. They've called it Erased in English. It's about a guy who has a weird power to accidentally slip back in time and fix bad things that happens. There was a kidnapping murder that happened in his youth that shadows into his adult life and takes his mother away and then suddenly he ends up as a child again, desperate to stop both the tragedy of the past and the tragedy of the future. It started a little slow, but it was interesting and tense and I enjoyed it.
I watched Bubuki Buranki cause I was bored. Giant robo show where kids end up controlling the parts of a giant robot that was formerly one piece and even two episodes in I have no idea what the hell is going on.
Dagashi Kashi seems like it will be fun. Kokonotsu wants to be a mangaka, but his father wants him to take over the family business, a sweet shop. Then a girl straight out of Kokonotsu's manga appears and she's the daughter of a famous sweets company. She wants Kokonotsu's father to join their company, but he declines unless Kokonotsu will take over the business. It's a silly one. The art is slick and the character designs are very reminiscient of Ore no Imouto ga Konnani Kawaii Wake ga Nai. One of Kokonotsu's childhood friends looks like Kirino all grown up. Sweets company girl, Hotaru, is sweets obsessed and quirky.
Dimension W is on my list to check out, but I haven't watched it yet.
Hai to Gensou no Grimgar is yet another one of those "we woke up in a fantasy world and now we have to adapt to it and kill things!" anime. The twist here is that they don't remember life before and killing things is a looooot harder than in other anime/games/etc. I suspect we might eventually become sympathetic to the goblins that they hunt. They've really humanized them, though they don't speak in an understandable language. Nothing groundbreaking going on here, but they tried.
I only picked up Haruchika: Haruta to Chika wa Seishun Suru because I heard that Haruta was canonically gay. Yes, I am shallow! He has a crush on his band teacher. Oddly, this show is less about music and more about mysteries so far? It's not that gripping. I don't know if one little boy crush will keep me watching.
Prince of Stride: Alternative really hits that shounen spot! And they've already helpfully given us a few pairings and put the boys in pretty clothes for us. And a Stride club boy band on top of that? Be still my fujoshi heart!
I'm in love with Shouwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjuu. Once I saw the art style, I didn't even bother looking at the summary because I knew I'd watch it. Even though the rakugo is considered "old people" entertainment, it's actually really fun. This is already one of my favorites :D
I thought about watching Nijiiro Days, but I haven't given it a shot yet. I just finished up the second season of the short Ame-iro Cocoa which was dumb and completely useless. Some of those short series can be good, but man, some of them are so dumb.
That's it for now, I might add a few and drop a few. I still have a bunch of shows from last season I haven't finished or even started. I was so excited about Haikyuu, but I still haven't even started the second season yet! Don't ask me what I'm waiting for, I'm just not sure.
Anyway, if I had to suggest something, I'd say maybe watch Dagashi Kashi instead of Nijiiro Days? I don't really think I'm watching anything that Dae MUST see.

Date: 19/1/16 11:04 (UTC)Shouwa Genroku and Stride are definitely my favourite series this season.
Ajin is your typical "afraid of the different" Japanese show, you know, Kiseijuu, Tokyo Ghoul, Shiki-- It's entertaining 'til now, but just after one episode is difficult to see where the story is going, I hope it'll keep up with the good pacing.
Nijiiro Days has nothing to with stuff like Ameiro Cocoa!
It's a cute slice of life, very similar to stuff like Kimi to Boku, to give you an idea-- But with more stupid shojo inserts, as all the boys are more or less paired up. The good thing about this show is that the protagonist is very fun, and I like the interaction with the girl he loves, who's pretty much expressionless, making a fun gap between the two, promptly commented by the protagonist's friends.
Dagashi Kashi is one of those series that I can already figure how it'll end up and completely on the opposite of my tastes, so I didn't even gave it a try XD

Date: 19/1/16 11:06 (UTC)I'll watch Aijin eventually. Now I should go to bed, but I'm still up because I have the day off. ^_^;;
I might poke it.
Noooo Dae. Stop predicting the future! But I get it. Lots of that moe crap I won't even touch. Ew, no thanks.

Oh, among the "excellent discharges" I forgot to mention Active Raid: it had guys in mecha suits, police stuff and a wonderful character design but-- SO VAPID. I was probably a bit too rushed to remove it from my watchlist, but if I even forgot to mention it it's a clue about how boring it was--!

Date: 19/1/16 11:28 (UTC)The promo image for Active Raid had too many cutesey girls for me to bother with. Like, you can have a mech anime with cutesy girls, buuuuut the chances of it being good are not so high.

Date: 8/2/16 19:14 (UTC)My computer was during the last month, though, and I didn't have the time to get it up and running until today (working and studying at the same time ;_;), so through the combination of an ancient laptop, my trusty PS3 and pure willpower I registered on Crunchyroll (as well as Netflix) to have something to watch. I can't say that very many titles caught my eye, but I did watch Terraformars and liked it quite a bit - although the ending felt like they suddenly ran out of budget and had to cancel half of the series. I think I'll check out The Perfect Insider next. And I'll never buy products made from rhino horn or elephant's ivory - Jackie Chan and those NBA players made sure of that. XD

Date: 10/2/16 21:02 (UTC)I'm still watching my anime on streaming like a pirate, but I approve of your need to follow stuff, even if within legal means (x'DDD).
Terraformars was ok, the idea of it being rushed probably depended on the fact that when a series is so short is mostly aimed to improve the selling of the manga, and to see if people would appreciate an injection of merchandising on the market-- I liked the idea, and the overall massacre, but I wasn't very satisfied by it... The Perfect Insider is a series for smartass XD I found it quite boring, but the ending and "resolution" of the case was quite cool! I look forward to see if you can get the "trick" during your view!

Date: 10/2/16 21:17 (UTC)Terraformars really should've been longer, it built up a nice mystery but never resolved it. Still, I liked it while it lasted - each episode surprised me with something and the cockroaches were very uncanny, in the best Freudian fashion. (Following the recent semester, I have found new appreciation for Freud. XD)
I actually ended up watching the 2015 Death Note live action series and I must say I like it quite a lot so far. But I will watch The Perfect Insider next. ^^
