FUCK YEAH, GUYS, tonight I went to the cinema to watch the Evangelion Night event, a marathon of Evangelion 1.0 and 2.0 in high definition and Italian language :D
Aaah, such an emotion T_T; !
I attended the event with some co-workers∼
It was really wonderful checking out the movies at a decent resolution, and dubbed, also if I wasn't ecstatic about it and if I guessed that 1.0 wasn't such a great thing, as anticipated (I refused to watch it when it was out subbed!)-- But again, what an emotion >o< !! The whole theatre was filled to the brim, and it was great commenting the scenes with my friends XD We even had a "post movie discussion" in the streets (LOL), where the husband of my co-worker kept bashing the OST XD He particularly hated Tsubasa wo Kudasai and kept saying "What the fuck with that song? It sounded like kids were singin' it! All while PEOPLE WAS DYING!" x'DDDDDDDD
--Well, I didn't like that song and scene either-- UGH, Shinji/Rei xQ°°°°
Anyway, it's late and I have to go to work in something like 4 hours, so have the rest of the pics:

--Look at people twitting frantically right after 1.0 was over x'DD

Me and co-workers (+ her husband) right after the movies :D
LOL, the cinema was practically closing down XDDD
--Also, I was trying to show off my plasters (you got the reference, right..?) and all I got was looking ninja-like >3>; !
And that's all-- I'm off to sleep!

Date: 5/9/13 06:14 (UTC)Actually, all three films were mastered at only 2K resolution. Unless, of course, you were talking about the cinema screen size, but that has nothing to do with the resolution itself. :P
Brasphemy! The oliginar ranguage velsion is vastry supeliol on evely rever! XD
Okay, now you leave us no choice but to take away your official Eva Fan badge! XD
I like the guy already. :D I guess what the point of that song was, but it still feels horribly out of place. It would've been fine as an instrumental, but those vocals sounded as if a trip from kindergarten walked into the wrong cinema by mistake.
It's nice to see you have events such as this over yonder, we don't get many anime in cinemas in the first place, much less marathons of them.

Date: 5/9/13 14:01 (UTC)- It's true, but LISTENING without the need of TRANSLATING in your mind what you're READING is a luxury XD
- No, I watched it yesterday, my badge can be restored XD (it was a pitiful remake, anyway. Some parts were blatantly cut/pasted! Like when suddenly the old Nerv's logo popped up when Misato was scolding Shinji after he left home XD)
- It's true x'DDDDDDDDDDD We all agree, that song was really terrible... Poor Megumi Hayashibara ;_;
Yes, it's true :D
We are really lucky to have such events every now and then T_T; --On the 25th we'll get 3.0 :D I got my ticket already :DDD Me and my friends are in awe!

Date: 5/9/13 15:01 (UTC)I know it's trite, but learn more English! XD Seriously though, English has become nearly as transparent as Polish to me, save for an occasional word or phrase here and there I just get the meaning straight away. You can do it too! XD
Oh come on, it wasn't bad. Okay, it was more of a recap of the first six episodes with some changes introduced, but I felt what the first film did, it did well. The Ramiel fight alone was well worth it, not to mention the superb animation. Plus we get the cutest Rei smile yet. XD
Maybe they were still transitioning between logos and not all of them were painted over? XD
BTW, I looked this scene up and compared it with the original series: 1, 2, 3, 4. One thing that baffles me: why is the letter V in the new logo crooked like this? oO
You know my opinion on 3.0 already. XD Still, have fun! ^^

Date: 6/9/13 06:35 (UTC)I meant that watching a dubbed movie is better because you can actually WATCH the movie without wasting your eyesight to check the subs.
- It was THAT bad XD
Yes, they sure put lots of effort in that scene >_>;
- It's a WHOLE scene, c'mon XD
onsidering they spent money to make that leaf/apple animation showing on the NERV's screens to explain that horrible new logo, they could have that background fixed!
- ...They couldn't even make a decent tracing ò_o
- 3.0 is pretty cool XD If just because it suddenly interrupts that Shinji/Rei route (now I have the mental image of Eva's organizations playing "Shinji Ikari Rising Project" videogame, with Nerv trying to pair him up with Rei, eele pairing him up with Kaworu and Wille pairing him up with Asuka XDD)-- Anyway, yeah, I'll have fun XD !
...I'm starting to think that 4.0 will be a "prequel" of what happened after 2.0.

Date: 6/9/13 07:09 (UTC)Oh. Well, I'd say it's just a matter of getting used to it, I don't usually have any problems with it.
It turns out both logos are in use. Here are some screens from one scene: 1:26:02, 1:26:05 and 1:26:18 (and one from 1:09:31, because I've found it just now). And again, the letter V is crooked - knowing Anno, that probably means something (most likely that he's trolling again XD).
That's called an "interquel". :D Anyway, I'm already bracing myself for a new Eva piloted by Jar-Jar Binks. XD

Date: 6/9/13 07:53 (UTC)- Wow, great finds :D I think that the scenes with the old logos are those copy/pasted from the TV series.
--And I think that the V is just a tracing error, LOL XD
- Cool, there's a word for that XD
I'm hoping for a righteous Shinji/Asuka scenario, but I don't have much sympathy for the Wille guys XD

Date: 6/9/13 08:32 (UTC)- Since they were animating those scenes anew anyway, putting the new logo in would be the simplest thing. It must've been either a deliberate choice, otherwise someone would've noticed and pointed it out. Perhaps it's a subtle way of symbolizing the transition from the old series to the new films?

Date: 6/9/13 09:49 (UTC)I can understand the deal with the voice actors, some choices can completely change the feel of a character of the whole movie, but the original fruition of the movie was to hear the dialogues, not reading them. e_é <- here you have my snobby emoticon with a brow raised in disappointment! XD
- I don't know if those scenes were newly animated.
If you look at the character designs in some scenes there were very old-fashioned as in the series, while new parts were more appealing.
Maybe they "restored" bits from the TV series and pasted them in the new movie for a sense of "continuity".

Date: 6/9/13 11:56 (UTC)And besides, if you want to be really picky, the first films were silent, so originally the dialogues took the form of title cards. :D
- Take a look at those 4 screenshots again, he animation quality is too different - it would've been really visible if they used the same old elements. Here are some more comparisons.
no subject
Date: 6/9/13 13:57 (UTC)As for the rest, that's just your weird opinion XD
And it wasn't a case if the "little card's" background was black, and they weren't overlapping the scene itself.
'Cause you were supposed to WATCH and READ in different moments, non at the same time.
--If you want to be picky :P
- Yes, but as the commentary explained, many scenes are simply traced over.
I don't know why they left the old logo if they ever redrawn it. Maybe that was an error of the Korean staff (LOL)
no subject
Date: 6/9/13 14:56 (UTC)- Really? Okay, I didn't know that. It might be, but still, the old logo is present in newly animated scenes too, so it was a deliberate choice.
no subject
Date: 7/9/13 06:50 (UTC)- In my opinion it was an error, but maybe Anno decided to left them there so that we fans would start ranting about their secret meaning XD !

Date: 5/9/13 20:28 (UTC)I am curious how the anime sounds in Italian. XD
As far as I know, Bahrain doesn't seem to have any anime theater showings at all. You're so lucky. T.T

Date: 6/9/13 06:44 (UTC)It was some kind of collaboration with Dynamic (anime distributor) and Nexo Digital (movie distributor) to present such movies to the Italian otakus :3
The place was packed also because they were airing for just one night! We weren't expecting so many people, though D: We barely managed to get our tickets!
To be honest, I didn't like very much the male's voices XD Shinji, Kensuke and Toji sounded like "men" instead of "boys", because they were actually dubbed by men.
Must be because the voice actors were the same of the old TV series-- And they were "men" already back then XD
Well, you must consider yourself lucky just because there are cinemas there--
