Romics 2011 - Day #1!
1/10/11 21:45So, this year I attended this convention in Rome again :D
Because of this and the preparations of my cosplay for tomorrow, I couldn't update my webcomics ;__;
I should manage to update Verflucht this upcoming Thursday, but see you on next Friday for Sameyome ;_; !

Oh guys-- You remember about my otaku trip to Tokyo, yeah? It's definitely cancelled :/
So, we guys who were supposed to go (but two were missing 'cause couldn't manage to come) met up yesterday to have a session of otaku therapy to make up for it!
(They're going to kill me for this, ahah XDDD)

Romics 2010 report!
2/10/10 23:36Ok guys, today I attended Romics 2010, an anime convention here in Rome :3
As I told you, I attended it mostly to see Riyoko Ikeda, a special guest and the protagonist of a long interview/tribute to celebrate the deluxe DVD re-edition of her most celebrated series Versailles no Bara∼
I went there with a co-worker and her friend --That obviously arrived ON LATE, making me miss some kickass musical dedicated to Mademoiselle Oscar ;_; BUUUUH! But I promised them that I wouldn't complain about it on my journal, so I'll stop for now XD --THANK YOU GUYS FOR KEEPING UP WITH MY OTAKU MOMENTS!
( But now, onto the convention! )

Romics 2009 - Day 2 Report

So, I must confess that today has been far less productive than yesterday, mostly because I was with friends -male friends- who were focused on getting porn doujinshi more than exploring the anime media.

pigreco had to go before the end of some events that I wanted to attend, I just had to give up on my pretty schedule and follow them around.
It's been useful though, because I managed to visit the stands properly and buy some more things that intrigued me.
The only event I managed to attend despite my friends has been the screening of the second part of Gurren-Lagann movie, that I proceed to review you.

Ah, in case you're curious, I just found that the animation from the prologue of Guren-hen comes from an OVA released in 2008 (*sighs*)-- I found the video on Youtube, and I'm now sharing Lord Genome's awesomeness!

9/10/09 20:57So, I'm back from Romics 09.
Today it's been the first day that I attended, I'm planning on going tomorrow too to meet some friendz.
caska_langley was there too, as old-time Evangelion fans we couldn't avoid the premiere of Evangelion 0.2... It's been as awesome as bothering, but I'll talk about the movies at the end of the post--
( --First lets go with some random thoughts and pictures! )
Now, since this is the main reason for this post, lets go with some short reports about the movies featured today.
Naturally since those were premieres out of Gainax and Khara studios's generosity, we've been threated to not take pictures or film the movies or the screening would have been stopped and cancelled.
So, no pictures will be shown in the reviews.

Allora, compilo questo post in italico idioma rivolgendomi a chi, tra i miei "friends" e no, quest'anno decide di frequentare il Romics.
A causa dell'organizzazione cazzara dei miei compagni telematici e non, mi vedo costretta a partecipare a tre giorni di convention (9/10/11 Ottobre) invece che uno, quindi a chiunque abbia detto "Awwww, no, io vado solo il sabato D:", sappiate che, invece no, mi sparo il biglietto per i quattro giorni e sarò virtualmente sempre presente, fatemi solo sapere quando anche voi ci sarete e un orario per l'incontro :3
Quest'anno non conto di dedicarmi molto alle spese, sarò più che altro alla ricerca di manga scontati, attività di cui potrei prendermi cura il giorno di domenica; diciamo che mi comporterò da otaku competente ed erudita e andrò principalmente ad assistere alle proiezioni e gli eventi.
Queste le cose che farò.
In corsivo le cosette che mi intrigano ma che non sono una priorità e probabilmente andranno a farsi benedire:

--In the end I didn't meet with anyone I planned to, nor I sold any of my doujinshi 'cause I was too focused on the basic action of BUYING.
It's been a very satisfying event though, also if we skipped the Cosplay event and I didn't buy some PRETTY SHINY THINGS 'cause I was trying to be considerate of money...
Well, it's better to attend the next convention with some expectations for your wishlist, no x3 ..?
